The Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance will hold its annual fall festival from Thursday, October 5 to Sunday, October 8 in Silk Hope, near Pittsboro, NC. The festival is a family-friendly celebration of music, dance, art, and education with more than 40 bands & performers on two big outdoor stages, a large Dance Tent, and an intimate Cabaret Tent, plus food & craft vending and dance & instrument workshops. Tent & vehicle camping are allowed & encouraged. A sampling of performers includes Beats Antique, Elephant Revival, Locos por Juana, Music Maker Revue including Cool John Ferguson, Seratones, Sarah Shook, Phil Cook, and the ubiquitous Donna the Buffalo along with Preston Frank.
The Shakori Festival is put on by the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance Organization as a fundraiser for the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center.
