The release date and one-night only big-screen showing of the Grateful Dead’s “Sunshine Daydream” is this Thursday, August 1, Jerry Garcia’s birthday.  The film documents what is considered one of the Dead’s greatest performances, the 08/27/72 concert in Veneta, Oregon.

Fans have long hoped for a high-quality release of the movie, which has been in bootleg circulation for years.  On Thursday, they get their wish.  The film is restored to HD video, has new stereo & 5.1 audio mixes and contains additional footage & interviews.
