The Fall 2015 Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance kicks off today and runs through Sunday, October 11 in Silk Hope, near Pittsboro, NC. The festival is a family-friendly celebration of music, dance, art, & education with 4 stages/tents and over 60 bands, plus food & craft vending and dance & instrument workshops. Tent & vehicle camping are allowed & encouraged. Fall headliners include Hot Rize and Donna the Buffalo along with Preston Frank.
The Shakori Festival is put on by the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance Organization as a fundraiser for the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center.
