What: The inaugural SoDu Festival is a membership drive for the Triangle Blues Society and a benefit for legendary Piedmont musician, poet, songwriter & dancer John Dee Holeman.
When: Saturday, May 3, 1:00 to 6:00 pm

Performers: Tornado Blues Band, The Beauty Operators, Joe Bell & the Stinging Blades, Brother Dan Cunningham, Buddy Black Attack, Charlley Ward Band, Eric E-Train Manning, Haw River Rounders, Jasme’ Kelly & The Pace Academy All Stars, Josh Preslar Band, Rick Tobey, The Sacrificial Poets, and headliners Tad Walters & John Dee Holeman with Mel Melton. Entertainment for youngsters will be provided by sponsors Cathy Kielar of Music Explorium, Wags 4 Tags, an organization that trains rescue dogs as service dogs for our veterans, and Durham’s own Bulltown Strutters, who will be encouraging everyone to come strut their stuff.
Admission: $10 for individuals, $15 for families, children 12 & under admitted free. All proceeds go to Mr. John Dee Holeman. Donations to the Food Bank of North Carolina are encouraged. Join or renew your membership to the Triangle Blues Society at the festival and receive $5 off the price of admission, gift cards to Papa Mojo’s Roadhouse and Blue Note Grill, and a Triangle Blues Society T-Shirt.
